Frequently asked questions

What is compound interest?

Compound interest is interest earned on both your initial principal investment AND the accumulated interest from prior periods, creating exponential 'interest on interest' growth over time.

How does compounding frequency impact returns?

More frequent compounding (e.g. daily or monthly vs annually) generates slightly higher returns because interest is credited and begins earning additional interest sooner.

What is the Rule of 72?

The Rule of 72 is a quick mental shortcut to estimate how many years it takes for your investment to double. Simply divide 72 by your annual interest rate (e.g. 72 / 7% = ~10.3 years to double).

How does inflation adjustment work?

When enabled, the inflation adjustment calculates the 'real purchasing power' of your future balance in today's currency based on your estimated annual inflation rate.
